Itinerary

Morning: Arrival at Paro International Airport: Bhutan’s only international airport, located in the Paro Valley. Enjoy the picturesque flight through the Himalayas. Transfer to Thimphu (1.5-2 hours): The capital city of Bhutan, located around 50 km from Paro. Enjoy the scenic drive through lush forests and quaint villages. Afternoon: Lunch in Thimphu: Savor traditional Bhutanese dishes such as ema datshi (chili and cheese), red rice, and momos (dumplings). Visit Tashichho Dzong: Explore the fortress and monastery that houses the Bhutanese government offices and the king’s throne room. Visit Buddha Dordenma Statue: A towering 169-foot statue of Buddha offering panoramic views of Thimphu valley. Evening: Explore Thimphu Town: Stroll around the local market and shops. You can also visit the National Memorial Chorten, a beautiful stupa where you can observe local Buddhist rituals. Dinner at a local restaurant: Enjoy Bhutanese cuisine or international dishes. Overnight in Thimphu.
