South Sikkim and West Sikkim Tour

Unlike North Sikkim, West and South Sikkim are free routes and do not have any permit hassles unless you are bound for trekking in the high altitudes of Dzongri and Goechala. There are no fixed regular package departures by the travel agents for this sector unlike North Sikkim, as West and South Sikkim together offers infinite choice of destinations for varied interests. You could spend anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks in this sector depending upon your interest and your schedule.

If you are interested in Mountain Adventure, then you have some of the most rewarding high altitude treks beginning from Yuksom to Dzongri / Goechala / HMI Base Camp / Singalila . These treks take you right up to the heart of the mountains and could take anything between 6 Days to 25 Days for different treks.

If your interests are Monasteries or Buddhism, then you can choose from Ravangla covering Ralang Monastery, Bon Monastery and move on to prime Tashiding Monastery followed by Dubdi in Yuksom to Khecheopalri and then Pemayangtse and Sanga choeling in Pelling If it is just a Village life, people and culture, you could probably try one of the home stays at Kewzing near Ravangla or the one at Yuksom for few days which are managed by the respective local communities.
